About AV

I’m Agatha Verdadero. I’ve been a writer and editor for more than three decades, with a path shaped by ghostwriting nonfiction books on a variety of themes and subjects. These days, I focus on memoirs and biographies because the labyrinthine lives of human beings are a puzzle I love to sit with, unravel, and understand.

I want more people to tell their own stories, so I’m pouring myself into teaching others how to do what I do. The world needs more books that capture the peculiar, powerful, and unforgettable experiences of ordinary lives. Whether those narratives remain in family archives or find their way onto public bookshelves, I hope even the softest whisper may have a chance to be heard.
